Do you know what this drink is?




of course everyone knows, it's coca cola.
In America, one person drink 3,5l in a week on average.
cola is loved by lots of people.

BTW, Do you know how coca cola invented?

coca cola was invented by John Penberton, who maneged chemist.
He tried to create new medicine.
He was interested in coca because it is said it is good for morphine.

At that time, medicinal drinks which is melted coca was popular, so he imitated the style of medicine and invented 'French wine and Coca'. It was a big hit.

However, in 19th century, alcohol was banned, so they mix the medicine coca with water.
but one day, one owner of bar mix coca with soda by mistake and offered to costomer.

It was great taste and this is present style of cola.
I was surprised the fact becase my mother told me coca cola is bad for your health.

but actually, coca cola is medicine at first. how interesting it is.

I read the story when I was an elementary school. I rarely drink coca cola because my mother told me not to drink coca cola, but the story is very interesting for me. To know origin of food is interesting, isn't it?:-)

Have u ever made cookies? Recently, I often make cookies at home because I can control the quantity of sugar and I can save quantity of eating. formed cookies look very cute and it is good for present. How about biscuit?

Actually, it depends on where in the world you live, but in US, cookie is a small, flat baked pastry and biscuit is a kind of crisp dry bread.

Biscuit derives from the Latin, bis coctus. It means 'twice baked'. biscuit used to be the part of Ancient Roman armies' raitons.

In English speaking countries, biscuit was reassigned to denate a small, soft quick leavened bread product served piping hot.

The word 'cookie' is come from Dutch, 'kokje'. Later, the word cookie is from England. now cookie is added a lot of sugar and butter, but that style of cookie was not common until 18th century.
